Making A Purchase
Just browse our various shop sections and click on any items that you wish to buy. Select the quantity and/or size options and it will add them to your basket. Click ‘Continue Shopping’ to browse for more items. When you’ve finished adding your items, proceed to Checkout. You can always amend your order at the Checkout so don’t worry if you want to alter something.

Paying by card
We use the globally accepted Mal’s e-commerce & RBS Worldpay software to digitally encrypt your credit or debit card information.  You can be completely assured of the security and safety of your card details. Alternatively phone, email or post us your order and card details.

Paying by cheque
If you wish to pay by cheque we suggest you just print out your Checkout screen when you have finished (you may like to print it twice so you have a copy for your records) and post it with your cheque.

Shipping And Handling  +  'Remote' addresses
We use weight tiers for Mainland UK (non-remote postcodes):
  •  Up to 1500g - 7.99  *1 
  •  1501g to 2000g  - 8.99 1  
  •  Over 2000g  - 9.99 1  

*1 'Remote' Postcodes/Areas:
For parcels at or under 2.0kg/2.0 litres and to any of the following 'remote' postcodes, we'll ship by normal 1st class post. & no surcharge will be due.

  b.  For parcels above 2.0kg/2.0 litres and to any of the following postcodes:
  AB, BT, HS, IM, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight (overseas - see item c below)
please contact us  before ordering online  as we may be able to  SAVE YOU  from any additional shipping surcharges normally due (especially probiotics). 
If in a hurry, just select your tracked or untracked surcharge option at the shop's BASKET page.

  c.  Overseas - please contact us for shipping quotes for ALL overseas orders - they cannot be processed at the online shop. 

Shipping And Handling - General
We use one of the few fast-delivering Couriers that allow liquids (cheaper couriers deliver too slowly for animal needs!). 
   We have to pay a premium for liquids with fast delivery. 
   Sometimes, if time allows us to actually go to the Post Office, we use Royal Mail.
Courier & tracked services generally require a signature upon delivery.  
   PLEASE watch out for our e-mail advising details for when/how your parcel will be shipping. 
   If via COURIER, you
will need to leave a note if you will not be around to receive/sign for delivery...
Liquid carrying couriers rarely deliver on weekends.  Thus, you may wish to order at the beginning of the week to ensure swift arrival.

If there is a problem with the shipping element of your order, we shall always contact you   before processing your order.

Delivery Schedule
Orders received before 12 noon will be despatched within 1-2 working days.  Where animals are concerned we do our very best to ship fast.
during periods of exceptional demand, during holiday times (published on our web) or around Bank Holidays, delivery times may be extended.  We shall always notify you if this is the case. 
For very urgent orders, always mention this in the "Comments" box at your online Basket/cart page & we'll do our best to expedite your animal's order.
See above regarding weekend deliveries & timing your orders to avoid unnecessary weekend delays.

Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel/amend your order if you would rather not wait.

VAT/Tax Charges
No VAT is due or charged on any order.

Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. Ruggles & Stopitall Ltd take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from us.

Privacy Policy
Ruggles & Stopitall Ltd does not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies may be used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Data collected by this site is used to:
A. Take and fulfil customer orders
B. Administer and enhance the site and service
C. Only disclose information to third parties for goods delivery
     purposes where we are shipping by courier.

Returns Policy
Thank you for shopping at Ruggles & Stopitall Ltd. We want you to be pleased with your purchase every time you shop with us. Occasionally you may wish to return items so we have listed our returns policy below.

We accept the return of goods only if they are unopened, in their original condition and original packaging and are returned within 7 working days of delivery (see below for procedure). A full refund will be provided (less postage & packing). Alternatively, the goods may be exchanged.

Defective items
You can always return items if they are defective for a full refund or replacement.
Please note that you can only return opened items if they are defective.

Delivery charges for returned items
If you are returning an item because it is defective or because we have sent it in error we will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you. In all other instances, you
will be responsible for these charges.

Returning items
To return an item please e-mail us first quoting your Invoice Number and the reason for the return.
Please pack carefully to avoid damage. We recommend that you obtain a certificate of postage with adequate insurance from the Post Office if making a return, to enable you to make a claim for any loss or damage, as we are unable to compensate for return parcels that are lost or damaged in transit. 
We shall not accept any returns without prior approval.

Cancelling an item
Under the terms of the UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within 7 working days of delivery.
We cannot however accept cancellations for items that have been opened.

Since 2007 we have been a member of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
Contact us for the FSB membership number if required.
