Why are OM3 essential fatty acids so vital?

Since bodies cannot produce Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) they must be obtained from our modern diets.  But, most pet, human & equine diets have high levels of Omega 6 (OM6) which can disable usage/uptake of any Omega 3 (OM3) thus leaving potentially very large deficiencies.

As with Probiotics, if one nourishes the 'engine' the machine can operate optimally... without the need for umpteen pots of 'sticking plasters' that are 'one-trick ponies'!

OM3, 6 & 9 are integral components of the cell membrane of every cell in the body & the balance of these fatty acids on the cell membrane determines how the cell functions. Research shows that OM3 fats have numerous benefits including their soothing properties for stiff joints & seasonal breathing issues, for the circulatory systems, for the skin & coat, and for the immune & nervous systems whether the recipient is 1 or 100 years old. OM3 is a key but frequently missing element for general well being.

The diagram on the right shows the three fundamental elements of OM3 & their interactions - ALA (Alpha Linolenic acid), EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) & DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

Stiff Joints
Finding ways to help sore, aching and aging joints is challenging - in our experience there is no one 'miracle' product whether for pet, horse or humans. Probiotics & OM3 supplementation give us very strong reasons to get behind them... but please do your own research & be prepared to try differing products. Our goal is to offer some non-invasive yet multi-purpose options for supporting the body to work optimally, whatever its age.
