Stop-it-All -
years ago I bought a product by this name - where has it gone?
A.
] A long story
but we HAD to change the product name from Stop-it-All to
Ruggle-it in 2009.
The company
name that covers all our product ranges is "Ruggles & Stopitall Ltd"
- intended to retain a thread of similarity once we were unable
to use the old name.

What is Ruggle-it?
A.
] Ruggle-it
comes as a vegetable oil blend (runny), a salve (semi-solid when kept
cold), shampoo (animal or human) & a natural
emulsifier (blends oil with water safely/kindly).
]
For your ease & until you
know how to use it,, we've created the Starter Packs for Large animals, Alpacas/Camelids/Farm
animals, Small animals/pets & Humans.
] If you are
new to Ruggle-it, please pick a Starter Pack - if you select a
single item, being honest you'll struggle - not good for Ruggle-it nor your pocket!
Thereafter, just scroll down beneath the Starter Packs section
to the Pick N Mix section (with small orange backgrounds)
●
Ruggle-it Oil is a 100% natural
vegetable oil blend - when warm it's runny like any oil but if
cold, it goes gloopy or solid (just like your Olive Oil if on a
cold windowsill!). This oil can be diluted into up to 10
times its volume as a fly/midge spray....
●
Ruggle-it Semi-Solid Salve is the
above oil that is kept cold - the salve pot has a wide opening
so you just gouge it out when needed. The salve is ideal
for small animals but also for large animals in difficult to
access areas such as across the belly/undercarriage, inside ears
& in upside-down places like armpits. It's also handy for
human skin/fungal issues.
●
Ruggle-it Shampoos (human or
animal) are truly pioneering & soap-free (so it's not vital to
wash it out & in winter, you can just spray it on instead!),
packed with the Ruggle-it oil's skin & bug benefitting
properties & is used in tiny quantities. Absolutely NO
parabens, SLS or SLES, PEGs, Benzoate, DEET etc. It
also blends (emulsifies) the runny oil with tap-water to save
you money & hassle.
●
Ruggle-it Emulsifier blends the oil
with water, safely & gently.

What makes your product special &
why should I buy Ruggle-it?
A.
] Our products don't use any harsh chemicals, yet have proven
extremely effective.
] You can use
Ruggle-it on at least 18 different issues - you just use the
products slightly differently - so it's hugely cost-effective.
] For Large
Animals a clever element is using them with lots of tap water
without reducing the effectiveness!

Starter Pack selection.
Which pack should I choose?
A.
]
First choose either the Large animal or Small animal webshop.
]
Beside each pack there's an indicator as to it's use, e.g. 1 x
pony/donkey under 14.2hh, or over 14.2hh, or any animal with
feathers, a couple of pets or more than 4, etc.
]
Any Large animal pack will also do pets & humans. However,
for ultimate ease of use until you understand the products, you
could select a TRIO pack as that contains all items for Large &
Small animals (oil + salve + shampoo).
]
All Starter Packs come with FULL instructions (A5 size booklet)
for any types of usage - it's not difficult, but it is extremely
unusual!
]
If you read Page 1, it tells you what pages to look at for each
animal/issue, e.g. for large animal itching, see P16, then the
base of P1, P2 and top of P3.
]
"Quick Start" is what it says & it's usually enough.
Read "Full Notes" for extra tips, cost savings,
etc, as you have time.....

Starter Pack selection. Why do I buy a different Starter
Pack for dogs rather than just buying a Large Animal pack?
A.
] Because indoor-living animals do not use the oil in its diluted
format so you use the semi-solid salve in small amounts instead.
Why? It's mainly due to the aroma!
] The Small
animal Starter Packs just mean you use the products differently
&
you'll only need small amounts of the salve (or oil).
Once you've
used the products, you'll see how to use the products. The
Starter Packs are intended to make it simple whilst you've
learning about the huge flexibility of the products.
]
If you buy a Pack for your large animals, it will also do pets &
humans too. For the ultimate all-animal pack, select one
of the TRIO packs (oil + salve + shampoo)..
Top of page |
|
|
|
Starter Pack selection - gundog - working/gundog. Why do you use it differently for Gundogs?
A.
] Because they mostly live outside & you use the oil as a spray on
them (as though they're a large animal/horse!). Indoor dogs use the shampoo & salve so they smell
nice when next to you on the sofa!
Top of page |
|
|
|
One item only. Can I use the Ruggle-it
Oil or Semi-Solid Salve on its own?
A.
]
Yes, although success will be badly limited if you only get
the above items. Uses are all explained in the orange application notes
that accompany all 1st orders
]
For 1st use it's always easier for YOU if you buy one of our
ready-to-go Starter Packs - just choose from the LARGE or
SMALL animals webshops.
]
For large animals, we
advise using the oil as the Diluted Oil (DIL) mix when
sun/UV rays are at their strongest, especially on low-hair or
bald areas like the cheeks, around the eyes, on ear tips & on
recovering skin due to risk of sunburn with the neat oil or
salve.
] The DIL also
goes up to 10 times further so it's cheap as well as
long-lasting.
Top of page |
|
|
|
One item only. Must I get the shampoo - I only want one product?
A.
]
For first use
of Ruggle-it products we'd strongly recommend you buy a
Starter Pack that includes our unique shampoo (it's unlike
virtually any other shampoo out there) so that you can use the
products fully & utilise the 'spray on' options - all
without harsh chemicals.
]
We've created
ready-to-go packs - when you use the products you'll see
why we've created the packs ...so please just trust that we've
selected the items for a reason to make your life easy whilst
getting going!
]
The only time a
pack with shampoo is not really practical is for Alpacas or
timid farm animals - as bathing is rarely tolerated!
]
The
shampoo is very special & unlike virtually ANY OTHER
shampoo out there - soap-free, condensed, harsh-chemical free,
sprayable - see "What is Ruggle-it" FAQ above for details.
]
Selecting one
of the ready-to-go Starter Packs also means you can clean off
any oil or salve easily & gently as "like with like negates".
If using other cleaning products, the ingredients often irritate the skin or at worst,
interact negatively with Mother Nature's Ruggle-it ingredients.
Top of page |
|
|
|
Use. How do I use Ruggle-it?
A.
] All first orders come with
Orange Application Notes - you then
just select the section you require - horses, alpacas, dogs,
cats, children's head lice, etc, and follow it closely until you
'understand' how Mother Nature has made such a flexible product!
]
Follow "Quick-Start" sections
for the various species. If you just ad-lib, its likely
success will be severely curtailed which is unfair to Mother
Nature's very clever products but also to your pocket.
] Orders also come with a
Planner to show you what to do on what days whilst you're
getting 'into the groove'.
]
A product that can help with at least 18 different issues
will never just have 2 lines of instructions - if only Ruggle-it
was a "one trick pony" then it'd make our lives so simple!
]
All Starter Packs come with FULL instructions (A5
size booklet) for any types of usage - it's not difficult,
but it is extremely unusual!
]
If you read Page 1, it tells you what pages to look at for
each animal/issue, e.g. for large animal itching, see P16,
then the bottom of P1, P2 and top of P3.
]
"Quick Start" is what it says & it's usually enough.
Read "Full Notes" for extra tips, cost savings,
etc, as you have time

|
|
|
Use. How do Ruggle-it products
work?
A.
] All 1st
orders come with Application Notes which are not difficult but
certainly unusual in how you use the products. The closer
you follow them, the greater the likely results. Use
varies between species.
] As animal skin is so sensitive compared to humans, we've
focussed on making each element safe & kind to animals - they
cannot say "ouch" when Tea Tree stings or Lavender oil
irritates. Everything is very deliberately intended to be
gentle whilst doing its job.
]
So whether it's calming, cleansing, soothing, re-moisturising or
bug & fungal issue deterring, you just use the special
soap-free shampoo & either the oil or the semi-solid salve differently
depending on the animal or human for which you're using it.
Top of page |
|
|
|
Extreme &/or prolonged issues. My
animal's (human) symptoms
are very severe - is there anything else you recommend I buy?
A.
]
In extreme cases, the body/immune system really needs help on
the insides too, a "walking stick" on which to lean whist it's
struggling. If we leave the body with too much to do when
it's in crisis, it usually ends up costing you both because the
body only responds slowly.
]
With 'pure' probiotics, there are zero downsides
to using them....but masses of potential benefits.
]
But sadly many products are not quite what they seem so please
use caution, especially if they come with cereal
fillers, say they're herbal or come complete inside bags of food
which have been created under life-killing heat or intense
pressure.
]
So, as well as Ruggle-it working on the outsides, for
extreme cases we suggest our Protexin 'pure' pre/probiotics for
the insides/immune system strength.
]
Full information on the benefits on Probiotics are available on
our "in-depth" section of the website.
]
We offer Starter Packs that include the correct Probiotics with
the Ruggle it products depending on what animal you have, e.g.
SP1-H or SP2-H (large animals), or
SP4-B (C or D) (humans, pets/small animals).
]

|
|
|
Quantity. How much do I need?
A.
] It depends on how big your horse (or donkey) is and/or how many
dogs you have. Each Starter
Pack on the webshop gives you a good guide.
] Any Large
Animal Packs can be used on all animals, large or small & humans
too. The Small Animal packs will be too
difficult/restrictive to use on horses/large animals.
]
A standard small animal/pet pack can easily last up to 1 year!
And remember it can save you using spot-ons so that's another
saving.Top of
page |
|
|
|
Shelf Life. Do they go off
quickly because they're natural & do not contain chemical
preservatives?
A.
]
On average the neat oil blend & salve last well over 2 years (we still test some original products from 2006 & they smell
slightly different but still work fine. The shampoo is
generally about 18-24 months.
Top of page |
|
|
|
Smell. Does Ruggle-it oil and shampoo
smell nice?
A.
] The shampoo smells
lovely, quite coconutty.
]
The neat oil & semi-solid salve are not horrid smells, just an unusual
natural aroma (we cannot add in essential oils to mask it or
that might & sadly often does 'hurt' delicate/damaged skin).
] It's been
described as smelling of burnt coffee, onions, peanut butter, garlic, burnt
chocolate, cabbage, curry, i.e. natural & not chemical!
] Seeing its
results & utter flexibility for so many living creatures tends
to help us 'just deal with it'. Much like perfume, we
become desensitised to it.

|
|
Fly spray - making it. How do I make
it for large animals and/or
outdoor-living dogs?
A.
]
The fly spray requires the oil, shampoo (or emulsifier) and tap
water - so choose a pack with these elements.
]
All LARGE animal packs have the above; Gundog/working dog
packs as well (but NOT the pet/indoor-living animal or human
packs).
]
How to mix them? See page 2 & Step 2 of your Orange
Application Notes booklet (these accompany all 1st orders but
are not available online).
Top of page |
|
|
|
Fly spray - duration. How
long will it last?
A.
]
How long is a piece of string? It depends on the intensity
of your bugs in YOUR location, it depends on how bad your animal
suffers.
]
The bottled oil can become up to 10 times its volume when used
as our diluted mix, e.g. a 500ml oil can become up to 5 litres
of fly/bug spray - so it's hugely cost-effective.
]
Application is once daily for 3 days then every 1-3 days
generally - just follow the application notes on how to 'build'
the protective layer.
]
It impregnates the hair follicles (and skin) so by following our
simple routine, you need not worry about it all washing out when
a sudden rainstorm appears.

|
Use - sunburn risk March-October. Can I use
just the neat Ruggle-it oil or salve on large animals?
A.
]
From approximately mid March to early October (UK),
please
do not use
neat oil or salve
on
low-hair areas
(like cheekbones, around the eyes, on
ear tips) or on
sore areas
if exposed to strong sun/UV as
it will burn (damaged/sore/raw skin has no UV protection).
]
Instead, use our diluted oil mix "DIL" (Ruggle-it
oil + shampoo + tap water - all explained in the orange
Application Notes as the ratios are important) as that will
NOT
burn the skin however strong the sun/UV might be.
[If the
skin is damaged/raw and the animal is exposed to the
sun/UV, then irrespective please always apply organic 'total
sunblock' over the top of the DIL/open skin or you'll
literally fry the 'wound'...
]
However, for areas where strong sun/UV cannot reach (e.g.
between armpits!), you can
certainly use the neat oil or salve on sore areas and low-hair
areas.
]
During the summer months for fly/midge/mossie protection, using
Ruggle-it DIL on large animals is generally just as effective
as neat, but will cost you so much less as it's mostly tap
water!
]
Ruggle-it Starter Packs give you all you'll need to get going.
]
Ruggle-it is NOT difficult to use but it is unique in that you
can use it for at least 18 different issues, thus it's bound to
be a bit unusual in how you use it!
Top of page |
|
|
|
Bath. Must I bath my animal?
A.
]
No - you can
spray or sponge on our shampoo & it's not that important to wash it off.
Very clever!! The
instructions explain it all.
]
BUT,
the spray-bath option is not as effective
or nourishing to the skin as a full bath & it might take longer
to see the effects & benefits. So the full bath is the
most effective, followed by a sponge-bath and then the
spray-bath.
]
However,
for the elderly animal during the winter or if you cannot bend
over to complete a full bath, then using the sponge-bath or spray-bath Ruggle-it
is a handy option.
Top of page |
|
|
|
Bath. Can I use cold water to bath my
animal?
A.
] Yes. But it's just nicer on the recipient if it's
warm/tepid!
Top of page |
|
|
|
Mystery Itching - general.
The cause of itching is unclear - what might it be?
A.
]
Whilst it might be lots of things, e.g. bug attack, feeds,
supplements, external stimuli, central heating, etc. it may be
the Millennium Mite which is invisible & new to the UK. Click
here for an article.
]
Also see our DIET page - click
here as feed ingredients &
supplements can also affect itching and/or immune health, e.g.
molasses, haylage acids, rice, cereals, garlic..
|
|
|
|
Mystery itching - pet. My
pet has unexplained itching,
the vet doesn’t think it is mites and I can’t see any fleas, can
your product help?
A.
] Yes it can. If it is mites, many are invisible
especially the Millennium Mites, it can certainly help calm
& soothe the affected areas whilst killing the critters & eggs,
thus giving the body a break. Click
here for an article.
] It also works on fleas,
ticks, head lice, midges & many 'biting' critters.
]
Severe and/or long-standing struggle? Consider a Starter
Pack that includes our Probiotics to help the body
calm/re-boot/recover with internal support, not just on the
outsides.
into a
more 'normal' function.
]
Rice. There are very strong connections with rice &
'unidentified' pet itching - see our DIET page - click
here
|
|
|
|
Dog/Cat/Pet - fleas. No
fleas on my dog/cat since using Ruggle-it - why's that?
A.
] Very cleverly it impregnates the hair follicles so that bugs
detect it & "bog off" to bother someone else! It works the
same on fleas, mites, lice, head lice, ticks, midges, etc.
] It also
works as an anti-feedant so if bugs living on the skin cannot
bite into the skin, they die.
] It seems to act as a 'shriveller'
on eggs so if they cannot hatch, they'll just die too. If you apply
the salve or oil to ticks, just watch how it shrivels them too.
]
So it can save you a fortune in spot-ons too...and all without
any harsh chemicals.

Query/Concern. I've not
heard of Ruggle-it or Ruggles & Stopitall Ltd before - why
should I not be sceptical?
A.
]
You have every reason to query why a gentle & natural product
can be used on at least 18 different issues affecting small &
large animals let alone humans - it seems too good to be true!
We're sceptics too...
]
So, more than anything we say, please look at the various
product
Testimonial pages. - any feedback on our website must
have been provided to us in writing and authorised by the
author for use on our website and/or magazine articles.
]
Why? Because we're naturally sceptical and want to be able
to see real letters, e-mails, hand-writing as peace of mind -
verbal feedbacks are wonderful but offer YOU who are new to us,
no real assurance. Any of the testimonials can be viewed
at our offices.

]
Also, we have around 4,000 clients but rather than spending on
large adverts, we use small ones in lots of publications so that
we do not have to increase prices to pay for massive national
campaigns! We're also blessed with a very high referral
rate from happy customers.

Why should you view some? Verbal feedbacks are wonderful
but offer YOU who are new to us, no real assurance.
Therefore, as we're naturally sceptical too(!), ALL our
testimonials must be provided to us in writing so you can see
real letters, e-mails, hand-written notes as peace of mind.
Every one of them has been authorised (in writing) by the client
for public use. Any of them can be viewed at our offices

|
Query/Concern. Why are your adverts so small -
it makes me a bit nervous?
A.
]
Because adverts are extremely expensive if they do not generate
sufficient enquiries...and that comes out of the bottom line!
£600 or £1-4000 per single advert is common - that's a LOT of
enquiries to cover the cost.
]
So we opted to have lots of small ads in
many publications and then let the testimonials, magazine
editorials & word of mouth
recommendations do the talking.
] We work on slim margins so that as many animals
as possible can afford it.
We want
Mother Nature's remarkable creations to be
available to all,
not just the privileged. In this recession, we take pride
in supplying many pensioners & those with employment challenges
who MUST have their animals be healthy for minimum cost.

Use - oil gone solid. The bottled oil has gone solid & I can’t get it out of the
bottle.
A
] When the
neat/bottled oil gets cold it solidifies.
You can reverse this by placing the bottled oil (or your diluted
oil/trigger bottle) in a jug of hot
(not boiling) water for 15 – 25 minutes. Shake well & off
you go. To keep it warm, just wrap in a towel & it'll stay
warm for hours. Lots of other tips are in the Application
Notes - it's easy to get around Mother Nature's little
challenge!
] If the
Diluted oil (DIL) trigger
sprayer unit has gone 'gloopy/got cold' & won't spray (our special
wide-tube Triggers allow the 'gloopy/cold' DIL mix to still
spray even down to around +4 degrees Celsius), just unscrew the
trigger unit from the bottle, immerse the trigger tube in warm
water & spray it until the warm water clears it. Simple.
Top of page |
|
|
|
Use - Diluted oil (DIL) gone solid. The DIL in my Trigger sprayer bottle has gone
solid. How can I make it spray again? Scourer-Sponge
option (for DIL or shampoo).
] If the Ruggle-it Diluted oil (DIL) mix
in our special trigger sprayer has gone 'gloopy" or
"become cold" or "clogged up" &
will not spray (our special wide-tube Triggers allow the 'gloopy/cold'
DIL mix to still spray even down to around +4 degrees Celsius),
just unscrew the trigger unit from the bottle, immerse the
trigger tube in warm water & spray it until the warm water
clears it. Simple. Lots of other tips are in the
Application Notes - it's easy to get around Mother Nature's
little challenge!
]
Alternatively, if you find the
spray a 'faff' at any time of the year but especially in the winter/cold months
(or if the animal is
frightened
of sprayers), once you've mixed it
all up, just pour it straight into a Tupperware microwave box
(or similar) & pop a small sponge inside the box.
>> Scourer-Sponge
Option for use with Diluted oil (DIL).
The best sponges are the "6 for £1.00"
kitchen scourer-on-one-side with sponge-on-the-other side -
the sponge side is dense & holds a lot of liquid without it
running everywhere & the scourer side gives you plenty to grip
onto! [Obviously, we hold the scourer - the sponge
is what we use on the animals' skin!]
>> Then even
if the DIL mix has gone a bit gloopy, you can shake the box, mix it
with the sponge and then just sponge or brush on the DIL mix
instead of spraying it. You'll use more than if you were
spraying it BUT more will get to the skin which will end
up saving you money and from doing it quite so often!
We find the "Tupperware box method" a lot easier to manage
during winter and/or if animals are
afraid
of sprayers.
>> Sponge
option for use with Shampoo. You can also use
the above "6 for £1.00" sponge option if you cannot bath
the animal (large or small). A full bath is the
most effective, but when you cannot do this, a sponge-bath
(with no rinse) is an alternative. The spray-bath
is the least effective of the three bath-options.

Use - heating. Will heating
the neat & diluted
oils damage them?
A.
] Not at all as long as you do NOT microwave them. The
application notes offer simple ways to keep the oils liquid,
e.g. in your car, on a sunny window, by the boiler, etc.
It's also why we do not use clear bottles as sunlight will
accelerate their shelf life.

Patch-test - why should I do one
before starting to use Ruggle-it products?
A.
]
Whilst Ruggle-it products have an exceptionally low
reaction-rate (still significantly under 0.1%), ANY product,
whether natural or chemical can react with skin as each immune
system & its responses are unique.
]
A human can tell us if something's irritating; an animal
cannot so for the sake of 24 hours, we'd rather all users let
the skin show us that it's totally happy rather than have a
large area of irritation.
]
For instance, why are some of us "allergic" to milk & thus
ice-creams whilst someone else's skin comes up in bumps when
lavender oil is in shower products? Because each body is
unique & its foibles need to be respected.
]
Where & how to patch test is on the back page of your Orange
Application Notes booklet.

Rugs. Will I be able to
ditch the fly rug?
A.
]
If an animal is not being bitten, then the rug becomes
redundant!
]
It's also very important that animals have natural
sunlight on their skin or they'll be at risk of Vitamin D
deficiency - there was a reason that pit-ponies HAD to have time
above ground if their bones & immunes were not to suffer.
]
As per many of our testimonials, animals can often ditch the
rug because Ruggle-it can help stop most of the bites in the
first place. If we're bitten occasionally the body says
"that's annoying"; if bitten constantly, the body soon
says "get ALL emergency vehicles NOW or I'm going into
meltdown".
]
But, as per the application notes, we always suggest rug
extraction in small steps & only once you can clearly see it's
deterring bugs - you can often see them do U-turns! Some
animals that have suffered badly from bites in the past come to
see the rug as a "noo noo" so it's important to slowly
show the animal that it CAN self defend against bug attacks
whilst being naked.
]
Also, when rugged constantly, animals often become depressed,
hot & isolated as they cannot groom each other nor roll & get
dirt on their skin (an important element of skin health).
They are often more cranky too!
]
Nothing will stop all bug attack, but if Mother Nature's
Ruggle-it can help bodies be naked by deterring most
bites, then bugs remain 'annoying' but not 'terrifying'.
